HISTORY

The Heart of The Needy Foundation (formally Havilah Foundation) was established in June 2020 as an initiative with the vision “To put a smile and be an inspiration to the people we reach out to in our societies, our country and across the continent.” It emerged from a collective desire among a group of passionate individuals to address the sustainability of less privileged individuals in our societies and the country as a whole. The founder, inspired by his commitment to social change, embarked on a journey to create an organization dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of less privileged individuals. Since its inception, The Heart of The Needy Foundation has steadily grown from a grassroots initiative to a Foundation today. Initially operating on a small scale, the organization quickly gained momentum through its innovative approaches, and unwavering dedication to its mission.

Over the years, The Heart of The Needy Foundation has implemented numerous projects and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of beneficiaries in orphanage homes. These efforts have led to tangible improvements in leading us to reach out to some orphanage homes and government schools in the country such as Mampong Babies Home, Asante Mampong, Volta Home Orphanage, Afadjato, Royal Seed Orphanage, Kasoa, Yahoman Experimental Basic School, Yahoman, among others. The Heart of The Needy Foundation remains committed to empowering individuals and communities to thrive. Throughout its journey, The Heart of The Needy Foundation has encountered various challenges and obstacles. However, through resilience, adaptability, and the support of its individuals, the organization has continued to overcome these hurdles and achieve its goals.

Today, The Heart of The Needy Foundation stands as a testament to the power of collective action and the impact that a dedicated group of individuals can have on society. As we look towards the future, we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating positive change and building a more equitable and sustainable world for all.
